Weekend round up

NTR host the 4-up TT.

The weather on the day was dry and sunny – perfect for the NTR 4-up Team Time Trial which was on the M2511 course consisting of two laps around Stamfordham.  16 teams of four were entered.  All 16 teams made a start, although some with only 3 riders.  All but one team made it safely back, with one team suffering a puncture which meant that they DNF’d.

Back at race HQ there was plenty of delicious food and drinks, to sustain both riders and spectators, which NTR have rightly become famous for, thanks to the generosity of our talented bakers and handy skills of our kitchen hands and sandwich makers on the day!  The consensus that it was an excellent event, with a great atmosphere, and a fantastic number of NTR riders on the start sheet.

There is one more NTR TT to go – the two stage hill climb on 9 September, so get amongst it!

Derwentside Cycling Club Summer CX Series – Round 5
The week saw the return of rain, although not a massive amount it still managed to change the course characteristics from the hard surface of the past races to a little softer and a small amount of slippy mud.
Tony Glover of DCC again kept in the killer hill that kept everyone’s heart rate in the red.

Well done to all that took part. If you don’t fancy racing, why not come along and support!?
