Racing Roundup
Ian Gallon – Racing
Well done to all those that have raced for the NTR this season 👏👏👏. Personally I’ve been over the moon to see so many racing during the 2021 season.
Time trials (TT’s) BAR
There were 6 of us who completed the bar with myself, Caroline Cunningham, Lois Jarvis, Mick Chappel & Darren Robson with Lois taking 2nd overall in the league. We had a further 14 members who pinned a number on their back, wore the Black & Yellow with pride & raced in several TT’s this last year 👏👏. We also had a team finish in 7th place.
Hill Climb BAR
We had 6 who completed the BAR, Myself, Mick Chappel, Lois Jarvis, Jonathon Cairns, David Lavery and young Owen Haggerty, with Lois grabbing another league podium for 3rd overall. We had a further 23 riders who also raced at times at various hill climb events. We completed 2 teams who finished in 6th & 7th.
Well done everyone 👍
CX Season
In the V50’s – Ian Gallon, Derek Billham & Keith Fordy completed the league with Ian Wright having a run out and Darren Robson getting his and NTR’s 1st mens v50 podium in a CX race. The team finished in 5th place.
The ladies have have finished 1st team 👏👏 with Caroline Cunningham, Tracy Henderson & Gemma Fletcher Richardson completing the 6 rounds, along with Paula Salter & Lois also competing. We also had individual league podiums with Caroline Cunningham taking 3rd overall in the V40s and Gemma Fletcher Richardson taking 2nd overall in the Seniors.
In the Senior/V40s men we had Dan Fletcher Richardson with Graham Dotchin completing the league with Michael Lee, Lee Head & Steve Cunningham also racing.
In the under 12’s we had Harrison Lamb who finished with some solid performances 👏👏. He also had his sisters making an outing for Team Lamb, Tess & Scarlet. We also had lots of other junior’s competing for NTR who are now racing under the NSP umbrella but well done to all of you. The McEwan’s, Box’s, Dotchin’s & Bulfin’s to name a few.
Well done to every single rider this last year for competing and representing NTR.
On behalf of Myself, Mick Chappel & the NTR committee I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has marshalled at NTR events during the last year. Our thanks also go out those who have helped out in any form, including supporting our racers. Without their generous help NTR couldn’t run these events at all and it allows those of us who race our moment of pain/enjoyment.
