2026 Q2 Summary

APRIL

TTs are back ! On Sunday 26th April, NTR Hosted the 10 mile time trial on M10 course at Cramlington. This was the first of 3 TTs being organised by the club. A field of over 60 riders took part, including myself ! We had great support from our members who helped marshall the course and ensure no one got lost en-route.

May 2026 Cycling trips

Several members have been away in May, with both a trip along Scotland’s Hebridean Way, plus an annual visit to Majorca for some of our riders

Hebridean Way May 2026
Hebridean Way riders appear to have had more inclement conditions, but all reported having a great time and recommend the route. Many thanks to Tony Douglas for organizing this trip.

Majorca May 2026
A second trip to Majorca was arranged by Vicky G and around 20 NTR riders and friends joined. Based again out of Puerto Pollensa, a variety of routes were covered – including the usual classic rides to Formentor, Sineu Velodrome, Randa, Sa Calobra plus a group also completed the Majorca 167km route. Weather was exceptional with very little rain during the week. A great time had by all !

JUNE

Saturday June 6th – NTR Seahouses Spring Classic.

30 riders took on the challenge and rode up to Seahouses and back to Tynemouth. 105 miles in total. It was a tough day in challenging conditions (windy!) They were welcomed back with free Pizza for their efforts. Congratulations to all who completed our annual challenge !
