NTR Juniors Go Ride Cyclo-Cross
On Saturday the 10th December 2016, the NTR go ride section had their first foray into some muddy Cyclo-Cross action!
Garry Olive and Hugh Roberts, two of our many talented coaches, organised this British Cycling sanctioned event which was held at Kirkley Cycles, just outside of Ponteland.
We had three races on the day, an under fives race, a boys race and a girls race. The event was a great success, and has really wetted the appetite for getting the go ride section more involved in Cyclo-Cross and off road riding in general, and is an area we would like to develop in the future!
The event was only possible because of the help the organisers received from other NTR coaches, volunteers and parents/guardians. It also has to be said that the spirit and enthusiasm of all the riders who took part was excellent!
